Well, I’m not going to tell you all about me. After all, we just met. I can’t tell you all my secrets at once. How much fun would that be?
I’ll just tell you enough for you to decide if we can be friends!
* I love Jesus. I’d love to tell you all about Him, but if you’d rather I didn’t … well I can do that too. He is my light.
* I’m a sister, friend, prayer warrior, Mom, and a Grandma Extraordinaire!
* Elvis is my boyfriend.
* Good friends are cheaper than therapy. I have lots of them.
* I may burst into song at any moment … mostly oldies … and of course, a few Elvis tunes.
* My house may not always be spotless, but there’s always room for you at my table.
* I don’t “act my age” and you don’t have to either.
* I’m not just a survivor — but a “Thriver!”
If my quirkiness speaks to your quirkiness — let’s connect
He is my Light
There was no question in my mind. I was damaged beyond repair, doomed to a life of social awkwardness. There was no hope, nowhere to hide, and no reason to live.
And then I met Jesus… I wish I could tell you that everything magically changed. That wasn’t my experience. Life with Jesus was not all sailing on calm seas. When His grace grabbed me, it was more like …”Buckle up Buttercup! You’re in for the ride of your life!” And, boy, it has been.
I struggled along for many years until the Lord introduced me to some powerful Christians who knew how to pray and appropriate the promises of God. I made the decision that if Jesus wasn’t the Lord of all then He couldn’t be the Lord at all. I grabbed a hold of Him and held on for dear life, determined to receive everything Jesus paid for on the cross.
My world shattered one day as I sat in the middle of a healing seminar. I heard the Lord clearly say, “Let’s talk about when you were abused.” All the pain I’d held inside began to leak out. It wasn’t pretty, but God was faithful. That’s when I truly got on the road to recovery.
I studied, I prayed, I claimed the scriptures, I soaked in his presence. I went to every healing seminar and went forward for prayer every time it was offered.
Every Saint has a past and every sinner has a future.

The Six-Pack
This photo is of a group of girls we call “The Six-Pack.“ We all graduated together back in the dark ages. We’ve been friends so long we’ve decided to consider each others faults and failings “charming and endearing.” We all agree it is not necessary to “act our age” and believe that “laughter is the best medicine”… we have a blast together!

In addition to receiving free gifts, I pray for everyone on my mailing list. And I don’t mean, nice tame, “now lay me down to sleep prayers”. I’m talking about the kind of prayers that makes God look up and say “oh my goodness, who is that pounding on my door.”
By signing up below, I’ll add you to my prayer list, and send you updates along the way.
